Terms of Service

Effective 2026-07-24 · applies to the Fugal website, API and paid credit

The short version

Routing is free and answers have a free daily allowance; beyond that you spend prepaid credit. The Service is provided as-is with no uptime or accuracy guarantees. AI output can be wrong — don't rely on it for anything important. Your chats are yours. Don't abuse the service. Full privacy details are in the Privacy Policy.

1. Agreement

By using the Fugal website (the "Service") you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the Service. The Service is a research project built around an open-source routing engine — source at github.com/fugal-ai/fugal-subnet (see §7 for what that covers and what it doesn't) — and it may change, break, or shut down at any time without notice.

2. The Service

The Service demonstrates cost-aware routing of queries to language models. Depending on the deployment stage, responses may be routing decisions only or answers generated by third-party AI models. AI-generated content can be inaccurate, incomplete, or misleading. It is not professional advice of any kind — medical, legal, financial, or otherwise — and you should not rely on it without independent verification.

3. Accounts

  • You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent where you live), and old enough to enter a binding contract before buying credit.
  • Signing in is optional; it enables chat sync across devices.
  • You're responsible for activity under your account and for keeping access to your sign-in provider (Google/GitHub/email) secure.
  • You can delete your account at any time from Settings; deletion is permanent.
  • We won't delete your account while we're still holding your money. If you have unused credit, deletion is blocked until you either spend it or ask us to refund it — see §4. We would rather add a step than quietly keep a balance.
  • What deletion removes, and what it doesn't. Deleting your account erases your profile, your synced chats, your API keys and your credit ledger. It does not erase our accounting records of purchases you made — the amount, date, currency and payment reference. Tax and anti-fraud rules require us to keep those, and Stripe keeps its own copy regardless. Those records carry no name, email or message content, and nothing in them identifies you on its own.

4. Payments, credit and refunds

  • Free tier. Routing decisions are free. Answers carry a free daily allowance (currently 10 requests or $0.02 of model spend per day, whichever is reached first). We may change the allowance; we'll update this page when we do.
  • Credit. Beyond the free allowance you spend prepaid credit, bought in fixed packs. Credit is denominated in US dollars, does not expire, and carries no cash value outside the Service — it cannot be transferred or withdrawn.
  • Pricing. A paid request is priced from the model the router selects for your question. Because that choice is made per question, the per-request price varies; the estimated price is shown before you spend.
  • Payment processing. Card payments are handled by Stripe. We do not receive or store your card details.
  • Refunds. Unused credit is refundable on request within 30 days of purchase — email support@fugalai.com. Credit already spent on completed requests is not refundable, since the underlying model cost has already been incurred.
  • Closing your account. The 30-day window above does not apply when you are closing your account: if you ask us to refund unused credit in order to delete, we will refund it however long ago you bought it. A time limit on refunds exists so that ordinary top-ups settle, not so that we can keep a balance from someone who wants to leave.
  • Failures. If a request fails before an answer is produced, it is not charged. If you are charged in error, email support@fugalai.com and we'll correct the balance.

5. Acceptable use

Don't use the Service to do anything illegal, and don't:

  • probe, bypass, or interfere with its security or access controls (including attempting to access other users' data);
  • overload it — automated bulk scraping, denial-of-service, or abusive request volumes;
  • use it to generate content intended to harm others.

We may suspend or terminate access that violates these rules.

6. Your content

You own the messages you write and the conversations you have. You give us only the permission needed to operate the Service — storing and processing your chats to show them back to you and sync them across your devices. Chats are used to improve the routing model only if you enable the opt-in toggle in Settings (off by default), as described in the Privacy Policy.

7. Open source

The routing engine is open source; this website is not. The router — the part that scores every candidate model against your question and picks one — is publicly available at github.com/fugal-ai/fugal-subnet under its stated license, and it is the component every measurement we publish is made against. The code for this site itself is not published. We'd rather state that plainly than let "open-source project" imply more than it covers. These terms govern your use of the hosted Service; the repository's license governs your use of that code.

8. Disclaimers & liability

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED — INCLUDING ACCURACY, AVAILABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR EXEMPLARY DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM IS LIMITED TO THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, including your non-waivable rights as a consumer. If any provision of these terms is held unenforceable, the rest stays in effect.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms; the effective date above will change when we do, and that date is the authoritative record of when they last changed. (This section used to promise a revision history "in the public repository" — these terms live with the website's code, which per §7 is not published, so that promise could not be kept and has been withdrawn rather than left standing.) Continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept the updated terms.

10. Contact
